Coach Rich Boyce has been a high school basketball coach for 39 years. Under the guidance of Coach Boyce, the Varsity team has made the CIF Playoffs the last 22 years and made the finals in 2015 and 2016. Coach Boyce was previously at Estancia High School. While at Estancia he was the Freshman Coach, JV Coach, Assistant Varsity Coach and 4 years as Head Varsity Coach. During that time, Estancia won 1 state title, 1 CIF title and went to the playoffs every year. A graduate of the University of California at Irvine, Coach Boyce received his Master’s Degree from National University. He, his wife Michelle, and their son Kyle, live in Laguna Woods with their dog, Lee.
This is Jeff’s 24th year coaching with the Edison program. He spent the first 6 years coaching the freshmen team and the last 17 years as an assistant with the Varsity. Jeff currently lives in Huntington Beach and teaches history at Edison. Jeff is a 1998 graduate of Edison High School and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from UCLA.
Coach Gray is in his 14th year as an assistant for Varsity. Coach Gray has been coaching high school basketball for 31 years, with previous stops at Mater Dei, Fountain Valley, Santa Ana Valley, Marina and also at Edison in the late 90s. Coach Gray teaches sixth grade at Serra Catholic and is also the athletic director. Coach Gray enjoys beach, hiking and playing basketball and golf. He and his wife, Barbara, reside in Huntington Beach with their Labrador named Kody.
